Message from the PrincipalParent/ Guardian, This week your child received his or her report card for the first quarter. Many of our students have been very successful. For those who were not as successful, your East Wake Arts staff will be meeting in their Professional Learning Team meetings to discuss how to best help them. We take our jobs seriously. We want Every Child, Every Day to have the opportunity to be successful. Therefore, we have taken the time to write implement strategies into the instructional day that will provide the academic support that all students need and require. Thank you for supporting us. However, we know that the greatest support you give is to your child. Please continue to encourage your child to reach for high academic achievement. We are committed to doing "What ever it takes" to ensure that your child is successful. Please feel free to call your administrative team if you have questions, comments and/or concerns. Thank you for continuing to encourage your student(s) and we look forward to moving from, "Good to Great". FYI: Interim Reports: Students will be recieving interim reports this week. Early Release Day/September 23: Students will have a modified schedule, but will attend all four classes. School will dismiss at 12:22 pm. Message from the Principal
Dear Parents,
It seems that it takes almost no time for the first semester to move into high gear. Barely a week has passed and yet we are already well into the 2009-2010 school year. Hopefully you have received the most important word about how this school year begun- the informal reports given to you by your son(s) and/or daughter (s).
The faculty and staff at East Wake School of Arts hope these reports are positive. We hope you feel that the school year has begun well for your child. Classes began smoothly and the first few days have been a great beginning of what should be a productive school year. Our students have been most cooperative.
Please mark your calendars for the upcoming Open House on Sept. 10 from 6:00 until 7:30 pm. During this time you will have the opportunity to meet the teachers by following your child’s schedule. We are definitely looking forward to meeting you.
If you have concerns and/or questions about any aspect of your child’s schooling please feel free to contact the teacher, counselor or the assistant principal of instruction, Janet Rock. You may also feel free to contact me at 919-365-2642 or via email at Elucas2@wcpss.net.
As the principal of this fine institution of learning, it is my mission that the East Wake School of Arts is here to help “Every Child, Every Day- Whatever It Takes”.
Mrs. E. Lucas, Principal
