2009-2010 Parking Permits and Off-Campus Lunch Passes

On Tuesday, August 11, 2009, Juniors and Seniors from the School of Engineering Systems may purchase parking permits.  Students who wish to purchase a parking permit must report to the East Wake High School Main Office between the hours of 8 - 10 am and 1 - 3 pm.  Parking permits fees are $170.00.  Students may remit payment using cash or money orders.  Personal checks will not be accept for parking permit payments.  Permits can only be purchased by students who are in good financial standing with no outstanding fees or fines.

On Tuesday, August 11, 2009, Juniors and Seniors from the School of Engineering Systems may also apply for off-campus lunch privileges during the same hours in the East Wake High School Main Office.  Students are eligible for an off-campus lunch pass under the following criteria:  parental permission, good financial standing with no outstanding fees or fines, and a minimum 1.5 GPA.

2009-2010 School Opening and Bell Schedule

The East Wake School of Engineering Systems faculty and staff would like to welcome all students back to school for the 2009-2010 school year.

The first day of school of all students will be on Tuesday, August 25, 2009.  Our bell schedule wil change for the 2009-2010 school year.  The instructional day will begin at 7:55 am and end at 3:00 pm. 

In accordance with WCPSS Board Policy, our weekly bell schedule will include WAKE WEDNESDAYS which provides a one-hour early dismissal each Wednesday for all students.  During this time, teachers will utilize instructional teams to improve student learning outcomes.

Six WAKE WEDNESDAYS will release students 2.5 hours early.  East Wake School of Engineering Systems will use each 2.5 hour session for extended school-wide faculty professional development.  Early Release Wednesdays for this school year are:  September 23, 2009, October 21, 2009, December 2, 2009, February 2, 2010, March 10, 2010, and April 21, 2010.

2009-2010 New Student & Parent Orientation

The East Wake School of Engineering Systems faculty and staff will host our New Student & Parent Orientation on Wednesday, August 19th from 8:30am until 12:00 noon in the South Auditorium.  Registration will begin at 8:00am in the South Gym Lobby for all participants.  In addition to receiving schedules, students and parents will learn about instructional expectations and become familiar with the campus.  More information will be mailed regarding orientation specifics.
